Contact me atinfo@Pandemic-kids-and-reading.org with your ideas about books that make a difference for kids struggling to make up for their lost years of learning.

Make  your own books

Share the books or text that work with your problem readers.

Or if you need to make one, think of themes about self esteem and identity. Keep in  mind that many of these kids can't stand to fail at one more experience with reading.

Easy Fix:  do a PowerPoint with a kid! Title it something like The Girl Who Would Not Speak, or The Boy Who Refused to Wear his Hat or Who Will Listen! or  The Kid who Slept in a Bear House!  or The Kids who was a Pirate!   Or I survived Iwo Jima! But you get the point. Make your student the star of the book. Then let them pic out their own pictures from the net. I have a kid who is writing his own book about smack down wrestling. Let them be in control a little bit and make the story about them. It works !

Let us all know what works, keeping in mind that you do not want someone stealing your idea if you plan to make money.

But, Yeah!  Sure!  Market your book here! We love to know about books for kids who need our help!!!
